Crags Crest
-Original Sold-

Artist note - I've recently discovered how much I love foraging for mushrooms. I would not recommend going alone, and absolutely go with someone who is an expert (those fungus can get a bit confusing....) but finding mushrooms and this hike- will forever be two of my favorite activities from this past year on the Mesa. I even took some of the mushrooms I found and stenciled them out onto the canvas- honestly, can't wait to do this again.

What do you call a mushroom who's a great dancer?

A fun-guy on the dance floor! 🍄😄

Uncompahgre Peak
-Original Sold-

Artist note - Uncompahgre Peak is the sixth highest summit of the Rocky Mountains. It was the first peak I ever guided a group of individuals on. I was thankful for my co-guide and the many memories and tears of laughter that came from that adventure. This hike is EXHAUSTING (especially if you park from the road #youknowifyouknow ) - but the peak, is gorgeous and worth every step.

Chris Martin wrote: “Colorado is like a girl I once knew. Beautiful in any light. When the light or angle changes, something new is revealed. Something hidden rises to the surface. Colorado... is majesty defined. A declaration. When God carved this place with His words, He lingered.”

I hope this vivid piece will remind you to linger and to look for splendor.

Hanging Lake
-Original Sold-

Clockwise from upper lefthand corner:
Independence Monument (Sold), Crested Butte (Sold), Mt. Sneffels (Sold), Maroon Bells (Sold)

Independence Monument
-Sold-
Artist note - It takes courage to dream ‘what if’ dreams. Vulnerability with our broken messy stories is such a risk. The weight of potential failure. When I was in college, the Monument became my place of exploration. Red, raw and alive...I discovered bouldering, and hikes, mountain biking and the most beautiful sunsets. The desert giants became a playground to imagine and eventually paint.

Mt. Sneffels
-Sold-
Artist note - I always want less time on my computer, and more time in the wild with those I love. Surrounded with meaningful friendships, family, creating memories. We are flesh and bone rooted in the need for connection. This mountain brought that for me. Waking up before anyone should, hiking boots on and the knowledge of the challenging journey ahead of you - there’s something about 14tners that takes you back to the feeling alive.
